Join the Colorado Railroad Museum to experience African American connections and stories that contributed to both the railroad and cultural history of Colorado.
Colorado railroads provided many opportunities for the African American community in Denver. By providing a means of mass transportation and migration, the thriving community of Five Points grew and developed as a result.
Listen to storytellers share how the railroad touched the lives of the black community in the Denver area and view a special exhibit about Pullman porters, with unique artifacts from Colorado Railroad Museum collections.
The train departs every 30 minutes between 10:00AM and 4:00PM.
Black On Track is in collaboration with History Colorado, Blair Caldwell African American Research Library and the Black American West Museum.
