This lecture will address the history of Golden Fortnightly, its evolution from Chautauqua Circle to the present, and how it reflects the history of both Golden and Colorado. This evolution highlights some well known people in the Golden and Denver areas, and their contributions to the education of early local women.

The talk will be presented in conjunction with the Fortnightly Club exhibit at the Golden History Center.
