Enjoy luncheon or dessert tea with a dramatic performance. Luncheon is a full meal of tea, scones, finger sandwiches, salad and desserts ($25). Just Desserts treats you to tea, scones and desserts ($15). Teas served at the Astor House Museum, 822 12th Street, Golden. Members receive a discount. Tickets are non-refundable. It takes a certain kind of person to give up his livelihood and head west with hopes of making his fortune during the 19th century, and it takes an even more interesting person to stick around. At this tea you'll hear a few of the memorable stories about Golden's first residents as told by Jack Stone. If you've ever wondered the best way to fight a duel, take a lesson from George West, the Colorado Transcript founder who occasionally consumed a little too much at the bar but always had the brains to save his skin.
