Learn from historian Ed Weising about early forms of fun and Colorado-made movies. Opera houses offered shows in most Colorado towns from about 1870 until 1920. In Denver theaters, silent films were on the big screens. Locally, Golden movie houses featured popular films of the day. Some films were shot in Golden and movie stars even lived in the area. Ed will tell you about some of these stars. Note: this has been rescheduled from Feb 18. More resources: Ed Weising is a popular presenter for Golden History Museums and his tours often sell out.
