Her years and passion for the history of quilts is an important link to our past. While she has made more than 100 quilts, she is well known for her research, knowledge and care of the quilt makers of her collection, some dating back 200 years. As a renowned quilt appraiser, she has provided information to those seeking the value and details of the quilts she appraises. In her exhibit you will discover not only the number of pieces in each quilt, but a quilt that numbers only seventeen pieces along with the quilt that has more than 20,000 pieces, as well as stories along the way. In addition, the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum also has several 3,000+ pieced quilts from its permanent collection on display. Roots, Refuge and Nature | Forging Relationships with My Environment, The Valerie C. White Solo Exhibit: Valerie C. White lives in Denver, Colo., and has been creating mixed media art quilts for more than two decades. Her work is in numerous publications and private collections internationally.
