“Denver’s Collaborative Approach to Marijuana Management” will detail how Denver has managed the largest marijuana market in the world for a city, and will include information about the amount of marijuana licenses, crime rate, marijuana taxes, where Denver is spending the tax revenue, youth education and prevention. This will be about the city’s collaborative approach between many different Denver offices and city leaders to maintain public safety and achieve local support.
Eric Escudero has served as the Director of Communications for Denver’s Office of Excise and Licenses since this past March. Excise and Licenses is the central business-licensing department for the City and County of Denver and includes the Office of Marijuana Policy. The department manages licensing for approximately 180 different businesses licenses, including liquor stores, bars and restaurants, and marijuana stores and cultivation facilities.
