Local author and history expert Steve Friesen will discuss the life of Buffalo Bill Cody on Thursday, April 7 at 5:30 p.m. at the Golden History Center, 923 10th St., in Golden.
Friesen's talk will address how Buffalo Bill impacted Golden, and will be of particular interest to enthusiasts of local history.
Friesen, director of the Buffalo Bill Museum and Grave, is the author of "Buffalo Bill: Scout, Showman, Visionary." Midwest Book Review characterized the book as "a captivating, reader-friendly biography of William F. 'Buffalo Bill' Cody." The title was published by Fulcrum Press in 2010.
